The Radio

When we read, listen or simply think we generate mental imagery and concomitant emotional responses to the content.  Presumably these responses are unique to each individual.  Your mental and physical response will be different to mine and will vary in some corresponding manner to our individual knowledge and experiences.  In this project, “The Radio”, I am asking the viewer to provide the sound track for each song being preformed by this wonderful New Orleans busker.  The music you are hearing in your head is being mediated by “The Radio” in surprising ways!

A busker on the streets of New Orleans called himself “The Radio”.  I met him near Woldenberg Park along the Wharf 1998.  For a dollar he would sing and perform any song you liked – as if he were your radio to play.   Two of his songs were oldies.  The other two (when edited) will be new and prescient.
